Important Policy Reminders! Please Read :)

Dear Chewie’s Family,

I just wanted to send out a friendly reminder of our policies. They have never changed, and have been on both our website and our applications. Because we are currently on a waitlist for some services, it is hard for us to schedule even occasional daycare at times. Unfortunately, we need to start enforcing the following policies:

  • Please be courteous of our neighbors, and pick up after your dogs. We do have cameras outside - if you are caught not doing so, you will not be able to attend Chewie’s
  • Daycare is by reservation only, and reservations can be tight. We cannot always take your pet, unless by chance, we have a last minute cancellation. It is not a safe environment, for your dogs or the staff, to over book.  If you have a reservation, and you do not cancel with in 24 hour’s notice, you will be charged for the day or have passes used.
  • Both locations are open to the public starting at 7am and closing at 7pm. North location only - you can request/schedule early drop off or late pick, the fee is per dog, $10 within 2 hours, and $15 for over two hours. If you need to used this service everyday, email me for a potential price break. In the morning, as soon as the staff arrives, they start by setting up Chewies for incoming dogs. Please be patient, browse the store, or take your pup for a quick potty break. They will be with you as soon as possible. Depending on the number of early drop offs in the morning, I may staff differently, so it is crucial to make a reservation, even if you only need to drop off at 6:45am (north location only). If you find that the staff is no available in a timely manor, please notify me so I can take care of the issue.
  • It is your duty to not bring ill or injured pets to Chewie’s. However, as part of our specialized daycare program, we do offer a service to help watch pets in need, and/or provide medical treatments throughout the day, BUT it cannot be anything contagious to other pets. If your pet is contagious, or you prefer them to stay home, please inquire about the in home visits we provide! We are hyper vigilant about making sure all pets are up to date with their vaccinations and have clear fecals before they can attend Chewies. If we notice that any pet is ill, we will separate them, and call their owners asap!
  • The rules for sharing a month pass, or month unlimited pass among pets are posted on the website, and have been in affect for over a year. If there is a change in frequency, then you will automatically be moved to the next best pass to suit your needs.
  • All owners that have overprotective dogs, they need to be controlled tightly on a leash, and behave properly when entering and exiting the building.
  • If your pet has behavioral issues, and we have urged you many times to get training to help with said issue, and there is no improvement, your dog maybe put on a modified schedule until the correction is fixed, or asked not to attend daycare.
  • All training appointments require a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule, otherwise there will be a $25 cancellation fee. There cannot be any balance carried on your
  • Chewie’s account without approval, and late fees may be incurred if not paid within 30 days. Payment plan agreements  are available if needed.
  • There is a 72 hour boarding cancellation fee of $25 per pet. We have been on a waitlist, as most of you know, almost every weekend. If you give us too short of notice, we cannot fill the space due to the waitlisted clients having made prior arrangements. We staff based on the number of pets boarding. School vacation weeks and holidays, the fee is $50. There is also a $10 holiday fee per pet, this money goes directly to the staff as compensation for giving up their holidays and allows us to offer pick up and drop off on those holidays.
